National Center for Diligent Recruitment
We are a national project working to improve outcomes for children and youth in foster care by providing free services to help states, tribes, and territories transform how they develop and implement strategic, data-driven diligent recruitment plans.
Working together to improve outcomes
Funded by the United States Department of Health and Human Services, Administration for Children and Families, Children’s Bureau in June 2023, the newly launched National Center for Diligent Recruitment will provide targeted technical assistance, tools and resources, and peer connections to build capacity among child welfare professionals to create systemic changes to how they recruit, develop, and support foster, adoptive, and kinship families in order to meet the needs of all children and youth in foster care. The National Center for Diligent Recruitment represents an important way that the Children’s Bureau provides technical assistance to states, tribes, and territories.
The National Center for Diligent Recruitment will work together with the National Center for Adoption Competent Mental Health Services and the National Center for Enhanced Post-Adoption Support on behalf of the Children’s Bureau to improve the safety, permanency, and well-being of children through productive partnerships with states, tribes, and communities.
