Funded by the United States Department of Health and Human Services, Administration for Children and Families, Children’s Bureau in June 2023, the National Center for Diligent Recruitment provides technical assistance, resources and tools, and peer connections to the child welfare sector. The center’s goal is to build capacity among child welfare professionals to create systemic changes to how they recruit, develop, and support foster, adoptive, and kinship families, to meet the needs of all children and youth in foster care. The National Center for Diligent Recruitment represents an important way that the Children’s Bureau provides technical assistance to states, tribes, and territories.
The National Center for Diligent Recruitment works together with the National Center for Adoption Competent Mental Health Services and the National Center for Enhanced Post-Adoption Support on behalf of the Children’s Bureau to improve the safety, permanency, and well-being of children through productive partnerships with states, tribes, and territories communities.
