Addressing disproportionality, disparity, and equity throughout child welfare

This article outlines four key equity focus areas promoted by the Children’s Bureau within child welfare systems: preventing foster care entry by keeping children safely with their families, supporting kin caregivers with resources, ensuring youth transition out of foster care with strong relationships and support, and enhancing the skills and diversity of the child welfare workforce to better serve all children.
