Kate Hurt serves as a senior advisor at the National Center for Diligent Recruitment. She leads the strategy and delivery of universal, peer, and short-term technical assistance, engaging and partnering with child welfare systems in states, tribes, and territories to develop support that is responsive to identified needs and rooted in equity and youth voice.

Kate spent over a decade working in the public child welfare system, serving in multiple levels of leadership prior to joining AdoptUSKids in 2019 as senior director of capacity building and engagement. Kate lends her expertise to the National Center for Diligent Recruitment’s leadership team, collaborating to provide data-driven diligent recruitment of foster, adoptive, and kinship families for children and youth.
